After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!
@`akiranyo: What's the limit for something to be a vector ? "It's fully scalable from source file so it's a vector!", "It's a vector, I used vector to do it!" or "Look, the pinky finger is vectored so it's a vector!" I think VD rules should more explicit.
I was actually inspired to do this by one of the parts in the series, when Kira first comes back with the freedom and kicks those cordinators butts. he he. Well anywhos this took quite a while the scan had a bunch of text over it and part of the right side was completely out of perspective. I guess I pulled an all nighter (sorta, i usually stay up till 4am every day then sleep in till 9 but hey whats a teenager to do ^_^' the whole 8 to 9 hours of sleep is way overated) and finished it.
Its definately not top notch but I'm proud of myself. I am a very very very impatient person and that's usually why I stay away from doing a whole lot of vectoring and fixing scans and all that so to fix this scan up this much is pretty good for me. I know its not great and the lighting is probably off (again, I got to get better at the whole lighting thing) and another billion things wrong with it but at least I'm proud of myself for finishing it to the best of my ability. :)
This is really great, the clouds are too realistic in comparison to the overall scan but I like the perspective. Maybe a starry night sky like the original would of worked more as well. Anyway Good extraction and re-cging of the scan, really great overall~
The vectoring is top notch. I like the way you vector Strike Freedom. There are some lines that could be used that can make the Gundam look much more "real", if you know what I mean.
Although you have tried your best to blend the background with the vector, it's still quite noticeable (the difference in the animation and the real stuff). Nice use of the stock image as well, the clouds don't look that bad, but could be better. The shade of Kira adds a nice touch to the wall.
Good work, and keep up the wallpaper business (don't forget the sleep as well!).

You did a good job extracting the image and removing the text from the original scan but I don't like the way you dulled the colors. Strike Freedom should always be brightly colored with blazing gold appointments. LOL! Anyway on the whole, job well done. Cheers!
Strike Freedom is one of the coolest Gundams (Epyon is the best!) but I love the picture it is a very cool angle giving it the "after the battle" look, with a very scary sense to it.
I love the stock photo you used for this wallpaper, but Freedom looks like it's just being pasted there. Try to make Freedom blend in more with the wallpaper by dimming the lighting a little bit and softening the edges. But aside from all those, this is one awesome wallpaper. Hope to see more great works from you! :)
