This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
This is my work for the war, battle between VA and SWM. Rules: gonzo anime vector, just 5 colors + black and white.
To the idea:
I learned heraldry at the University (coat of arms). I though, how should be the coat of arm if Romeo and Juliet would be official married. This is the fusion of the Montague coat of arms and the Capulet coat of arms, with some extra. XD
To the wallpaper:
I made first the coat of arm, it was maybe the easiest, because I know what I wanted to do. The hardest came after, because I didn't have any idea for the rest. I tried many way of the bg until I was satisfied with the wallpaper. This just 5 colors killed me, I mistook the number of the colors twice, so I had to change the colors, and I had to made twice the swirls because it was not sharp enough.
Now Romeo and Juliet has a coat of arm, but can they reach it?
Nona :D i love the idea and the vector of the hands, but the wall is a bit empty..you could have edited it after the war D: and nice emblem ^^ all in all its good work!

I guess this wall is more symbolic then enything else and it looks great. I like the colors alot and its not too plain. The boldness of the colors is what makes it seem empty. Overall this wall is great for someone who fins meaning in it. ^^ great piece of work.
Well this wallpaper doesn't feel empty to me, I think if you had added a background it would have been too much. This way, the various swirls emphasize the hands, and the hands emphasize the emblem, which is the center of it all and seems to keep the hands from touching...
Like the concept, but i think it's a tiny bit crowded...still great vectoring and concept nonetheless. although i kinda agree with felesya that you should've altered it a bit after the war.

I love the idea and the depth that is introduced from the way the hands are reaching for the emblem, but I'm really not a fan of non-cutesy things that are stroke-pathed. And I definitely agree with Felesya - I wish you had updated this by adding more to the background and using more colours after the competition!
