While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Yes, but it's too simple. As if you just slapped a scan over a plain, texture background and some text. It doesn't convey anything, or at the very least it's the base for a wall, not necessarily AP wallpaper material in itself. My advice would be to add some sort of design right behind the character, take a look at a few, high rated, simple walls to get a few ideas on what you could do as far as a design goes. Also, I'm not liking the current purple background, wait until you're farther along with the overall idea and execution of the main focus before working on the background. I'd get rid of it for now and come back to it later.
