As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. Do have a look at this beautiful wallpaper!

Anyway, was bored this week and didn't feel like job searching so I started walling. Originally it was going to be the rose and then like a hand or something but then the wall still looked too....empty? (Well it still does but eh...yes...) So I scrapped the hand idea and stuck a picture frame instead (a little more colour compared to the hand idea, though I could've made the hand bloody x3 oh wells.). Then I went back sketched a crap 10 sec girl, scanned it in and then coloured it..ehh...it didn't come out so well I tried >>;;; (I'll end up fixing it later)
Actually the only part I like out of what I did was the floor and blood splatter (kinda- smudge tool is my new best friend...to some extent n_n). For the floor I actually went and took a picture of my floor and then messed around with the picture to do the floor in my wall (since I didn't know how to do wood floor effects that was as close as I could get it u_u;;; )
And...yep that's pretty much it^^;;
(side note: roses are not fun to draw, especially on Photoshop. Dx I have learn the hard way xx;;; oh and yes I know I have rough lines around the rose area - for some reason Photoshop is being mean to me and won't let me fix them T.T oh well...)

I do think that the rose could be a bit better then i would say it's awesome.

There seems to be a yellow glow around the rose. Zoom in close and remove this with the eraser tool and you should be fine. Nice simple wall. Good work!

I absolutely love the text! My only complaint is that the scale of this seems to be a bit weird - the picture and frame look really tiny in comparison with the rose. It might look better if that element were a bit bigger (:
