This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

anyhow... yes yes i know. my wall just simply sucks compared to all the other entries.. but i had only 2 hours to do it.. so yeah XD haha.
Well. actually i had just as much time as everyone else.. but i was busy.. so then.. i had to hurry up haha.
anyhow... a wall. lol.
Used a scan from MT. Re-cged the rocks, water, and some part of the girl cos the scan was like a two piece so there was a line in between.
then.. cleaned it up like always. Added some textures, text.. and thats about it.
haha.. so laim lol. but atleast its a diff. scan. lol. not like all the others.
And I have been waiting for someone to wall this awesome scan, now if only it has widescreen.

The texture is a bit too heavy on the bottom half.

Like the others have said, glad you made it, for rushing this one you did an awesome job and we all appreciate it aside from the obvious. Had Clarings and I not been scheming and plotting I would have been asleep by the time you sent your entry.
As for a crit: The visual style you used really stands out and pushes the idea of melancholy, not much I would change. +fav
- A nice mix of darkened contrasted scan and simple background, both relating to the title you choose for it (“ Melancholy”) Melencholy…
- Hope to see brighter wallpapers from you sometime though.
