This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
I took advice of umbody and repainted the background from a stock. I am kinda of a begginer in nature wallpapers build from schratch so please tell me if i am on the right path or certanly off it.
Also CCSchlueter gave a very profund critique about it which i appreciate. I would like to say that i wasn't going for wavy Urahara, but more for the calm one.
Here is a new revision. i will keep on redoing it untill i get it right
The extraction itself is almost good enough, but you have some white parts that you didn't cut out well. Personally, I don't like hand painted backgrounds, but that's only my opinion, so you can ignore that. Furthermore, I think it lacks in details, maybe you should put...something...in the background? But then again, this is also my personal opinion, so you can ignore that too. That's about it, I have nothing more to say except good luck in having it accepted!
You didn't repaint it, did you? it looks like a very bad filter used across on a stock >_< the colours in the rocks are a bit weird for a painted bg, which makes people think that you used one of those random crappy filters in PS. >_< i would try and use bigger strokes if you did paint it, and as umbody said in the other thread, don't be afraid to use the smudge tool.
extraction could use a bit of more effort too.
and maybe use lighter colours for a more peaceful effect ^_-. good luck with your wall :3

Hmm... painting over a background can work, but right now it still looks like the character is too separated from the setting. Try matching the colors a bit more, and perhaps add some elements to the wallpaper besides just Urahara and the stock. I haven't commented on all your revisions, but I've seen how hard you've been working on this wall, so keep up the good work!

I like the concept very much and it seems too real.
Great job!
