i'm not much of a french speaker so if anybody who actually speaks french finds a mistake in there, kindly let me know. :P for the rest of you, i'll translate just the main phrase: "je t'aime". it means "i love/like you" and describes what L feels towards his cake.
this was my entry for the Elite vs. World Challenge's final round. the World Alliance is victorious! this is quite simple, as i had about two days to make something. the design was built with the thought of breaking symmetry with asymmetry and yet maintaining balance.
L is vectored from this screenshot (i left out the handcuff and changed his mouth):
the bread things in the back are from another screenshot and the strawberry cream tart is from some random image, which i enlarged & vectored, adding extra detail to the strawberries. the rest is just more of the pen tool and shape tool.
this one is for all the L fans out there! enjoy =]
Congrats on the victory! Even though we world Alliance was competing against our selfs. And very few voted. You design is absolutely delicious! I like the balance and the colors in this. I reconise this part of the screen shot you used. I look through that part as well in searching for a appropriate reference to wall. You pulled it off nicely :) The wallpaper is very well balanced, and all the elements of the wall go together nicely. I particularly like vectored fruits...it kinda makes me hungry xD Other than that bit, I also like all of the vectored effects; they really give the wall a lot of personality that other vectored walls lack.
The only thing that stands out for me is the color of L's vector. It's a bit bright and contrasted compared to the pastel colors of the bg. I definitely stands out, but I think it does a bit too much. Otherwise, it looks like you've got another awesome wall here ^^ +Fav

I had also something really close to this as a concept in mind but who knows when I ll do it.
I m kinda of yellow non liker, and I would prefer a black/grey/whitey BG with that vector and without the things that look like chopped fingers!
