This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Nah, I don't want new ones I need these ones to break in more. But my left thumb is really hurting right where the knuckle is >.< I guess I have some bad habits on my left hand.
Another fun wallpaper in Art Nouveau style!
Escaflowne movie art already has the dynamic lines suitable for Nouveau-styled images, and I had begun this several months ago. I recently rewatched all of the Escaflowne TV series, which motivated me into finishing this. It began with a trace of Hitomi, subsequently painted over. The earth and moon were painted over from images found off of various NASA websites. Although originally going to be a night-and-day wallpaper, I decided to stick with just the night theme in that part of the image. A second scan of movie-Escaflowne seemed to fit well as the rest of the background, also traced and painted over. As I was fitting Escaflowne into the corners, I cut off the details I worked on the Energist, so I worked that into the curled frame around the earth and moon.
A little texture to give it a bit more of that vintage feel that I tend to associate with Art Nouveau.

I employed a different cropping method to make this work on widescreen and non-widescreen walls. Here's how that worked out. Scans used: http://gallery.minitokyo.net/view/236192/ and http://gallery.minitokyo.net/view/18206/

Think you got what it takes to be part of The Paper People?
This is one of the best things I've seen from you for quite some time...
I like it, it reminds me that you are one of the people I admired when I first started out and still do all these years later!
Have a nice day!
