This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Well, this is the first time that I have worked with any Tech brushes.
I found this scan of Saito right here in the AP gallery and I decided to turn it into a wallpaper.
I sliced a few things off the top and the bottom and added blur to the background to give a feeling of depth to the whole wall. That was probably the most difficult part of this wall. Getting the amount of blur right was annoying.
All the text is actual information! Its not just random babble. Its all biographical information on Saito from different locations on the internet.
Specs:
Layers- 7
Time- 6hrs
Blur- By hand
EDIT: And yes, The bottom of the wallpaper clears the tray (start bar) so nothing is chopped off.
Well? Anything else before I send this one off to the gallery?
Being a GITS:SAC fan, this is really awesome! =O And Saito is unappreciated, thanks for spreading some Saito love =] I don't see anything wrong with it though...

Man do I love Ghost in the Shell. I this pic is so good I've used just a cropped version of it as my wall. As for your version of this wall I think you should tone down the green text to a less bright color. The original image has fairly subdued colors that clash with your bright text. In addition, you should try to have some of the text overlaid on the image. As it is, you have the scan and then your wall elements separated from each other. That text should be intermixed with the image to create a more cohesive wall. Good luck, its GitS so it should look pretty good no matter what you decide to do to it.
