This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Thanks goes out to $jinx626 for bringing the awesome vector of Haruhi (by Tomei) to my attention. I got the inspiration for the BG by watching the 2 Remote Island Syndrome episodes again (even though they're my least favorite in the series, lol).
For the most part, it turned out how I wanted it after a few minor revisions. I tried to have it match the vector with the time of night and some action going on with the waves, but my lack of skills are holding me back :P. Hopefully someone out there likes this ^^...
I really like it. It matches the mood of the episodes it is from, which I think are great even if you don't. ;) The only thing I don't like as much is the water splashing in the background...they just don't seem to fit in. Maybe toning it down a little would be better? Or maybe it's just me.
Pretty girl in nice place ;)) I never see this anime, but now when I'm looking on your wall I thinking that I MUST watch all episodes. Very, very good job ;)) This wall have good climate I like this kind of walls. Of course *fav ;D
I like it. Unfortunately, it's not in my resolution, but it's a nice wallpaper. It's got Haruhi in it, meaning auto-win. I like that shot of her and I love the moon.
I like the vectored character. its really clean.
Don't like the background that much. THe water splashes could have been better.
I like this wallpaper though! thanks
I actually think, you did a good job recreating that scene from the mystery island episode. The details don't really affect my rating on your wallpaper. The waves positioned right over Haruhi is perfect. Posting is fine. Colors are a little dull; which is how it's suppose to be! Good job!
Now, now you’re being modest; the wall is great, from my point of view.
Haruhi looks good fore the time of night, the waves look super, I wish I could do something so good as this, the moon and the cloud’s look nice, if you look closely at the sky you can see the stripes when you pas from a color to another when using brush but that’s not so disturbing. And I don’t know what the hole was fore but still look’s good.

The scenery very well depicts Haruhi's emotion of fear and anxiety.
Nice job.
your Wallpaper is really great. The chosen pose matches perfectly with the moon in the background and of course it shows a really cute side of Haruhi.
Nice work!
