This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Well, this is my 1st Bleach wall and i'm glad that i manage to finish it before heading back to campus ( i don't have a pc there yet...)
i've posted it in session zero and get a few feedbacks to improve on using stock photos. i'm not good at it yet since this is my second wall by using stock photos. plus, i also wanna thanks kalico for giving the advice and help...or else i may not know what i'm doing ...:faint:
i like this wall for the flame effect and i've been longing to do this kind of wall for a long time ago.
Anyway, hope it is ok to share my work here :)
dunno when i'll wall again after this one....O.o
Somehow, the background doesnt blend well with the character because I feel as if the background surrounds the character, but the character is not part of it. In other words, the flames should touch him more or seem like burning on his shirt. Also, the background behind him seems weird because there is fire and darkness placed in an uneven manner making it hard for me to figure out what it is behind him.
The background on this wall is great...the sun setting and the flames are combined very well...though it does look like your trying to cook him lol ^ ^ !
Maybe the two suggestions i have are: typography seems to get lost with the background and doesnt go much with the feeling of the wall and yes, i agree the background doesnt seem to go with the char but isolate him... or maybe im just crazy and have had too much Pocky :S
Nice placement for Ichigo. The trees and clouds in the background work well with the colour scheme you've created. What isn't so great is the poor quality of the flames, they look a little on the simple side and more importantly, the colours don't look smooth. I'd use a much more vibrant range of oranges and yellows to make them look fierce rather than ethereal. Scan quality is not brilliant either, it needs some retouching.
The fiery background is really good. the fading flaming effect looks like it came out of a 3D movie :P the photo you used looks good... very clear and defined
