On a lighter note, this is one of my favorite scenes from Sailor Moon are and so I went to look up the episode and screencap-ed it. Usagi's crying in a telephone booth, for those who haven't watched it.

Mamoru starts having nightmares. So in order to protect Usagi, he purposely says things to hurt her to end their relationship.
I don't know if there was rain in the actual scene, but I wanted a rainy, sort of watercolor-y feel to it. >_>; It's a very different style than what I usually try. Plus, it's my first time attempting rain, so it might look a little funny?
The vectoring took about 12 hours, and the rest of it another 6. I wanted to keep the text simple and unintrustive. Borrowed some of the the screencap's colors, others I moused in myself.
There are times when I really wish I had a tablet, and this was one of them. XD
This has some fantastic qualities and great craft. I would really like to see your journey to get to this point, both in viewing the ps file and or seeing what else you've done to acquire the skill to do this piece. PM me if you want to rap about it, if not gj anyway.

and there's that painted style too.. it doesn't look as if it's been vectored. except for the character in the booth.

This wallpaper is so sad, and so sweet. That was such a sad scene. TT__TT You excuted the colors and the atmosphere very well! *claps* The vector, I think, is great! So I think those 12 hours paid off! Looking forward to your other wallpapers! ^______^

Um, well there is a BIG difference! This is an amazing wallpaper, the positioning, colours, blurred effects, pastelly look, is perfect! You captured the essence of the moment very well, and esp. knowing how long and hard you worked on it, you should be very proud! + fav for sure
(my only complaint is that its so bright...painful on the eyes...but its still amazing :D)

Amazing what you did with that screencap, esspecially with Usagi, since she's almost undistinguishable in the original image. I also like how the far walls of the phone booth are desaturated. The phone itself looks a bit weird and different from the original one. also, great job with the vector lines, they're not jaggy at all. Rain looks just fine imho. Perhaps you could do a variant with no text? anyway, great job on this one, keep them coming! Fav+

You know, this is my first favourite anime, it was the series that made me like anime and I'm always happy when I see a new wallpaper of it.
Your work here is great. The lines are correct and clean, the colours too. I like it and its idea. I think in this scene there wasn't rain but with it, it became something more.

When I was done, I showed it to my mom, and then showed her the original screencap. She blinked at the screen and said, "I don't see the difference."
