I need to catch up with more new shows, especially awesome ones like Gurren Lagann. I traced the majority of the elements of this wallpaper from screen shots and just combined it all to go together. The sketch-like cartoon motion lines were an original touch from me, as I scribbled with a pen and scanned it to make the effect.
It is an awesome show and this is an awesome wall.
I like especially the layout you've got going on. It gives it a great feel of a captured moment; of the camera swinging round quickly to capture the action,which is then emphasised by the speed lines, but the speedlines are also used in an abstract way in combination with the bg.
Indeed a very interesting wallpaper. I have never seen the show either, yet i do believe i ll soon take a look at it.
As for the technical part,oh, well i think it is more or less flawless. Nice, clean, perfect to be desktoped.
Nice, I like how the ground is crumbling up. ^^ Im not so hot on the bg though, it would have been nice if you had maybe had some more mountains behind him, kinda desert like. Great job using screenshots though, its a nice wall. ^^ great job!

Yo, certainly looks good for vectored screen-caps! The colors on the character are impressive and highly detailed, especially with the scorchings and dirt markings. The foreground rocks look great and really give the illusion of movement within the wallpaper.
The background traces look quite clean and sharp with good colors and texturing. Though I think that the motion lines you used are a little heavy, not to the point of being overly detracting, but less would have been more pleasing to me.
Overall though, great work. Thank you for your effort and for the wallpaper!

I only just started watching the show, and i'm loving it. Your wall captures the spirit of the show really well- its got that zany, fun look that really sets the mood. Those sketchy lines are inspired, by the way. Love it ^^
This is a really cool Gurren-Lagann wall! I love how you traced those sketches from the ED sequence and put it on the background. And the lines in the background give the perfect dramatic scene that the scan requires! Great artwork nat!! ^^
