This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

i made widescreen. i'm not really good at makin widescreen one, this is the tumb. of 1600x1200 one
This wallpaper may look simple at first glance, but when you look closely, you'll find really interesting and beautiful details such as how the three-colored rainbow is going through the lens and changes to another angle. Also, the TV is showing the blue sky and white clouds yet that doesn't affect the sky blue background chosen for this paper. Another thing I liked is how his foot is placed lightly on the floor/water to create a nice ripple effect.
Another thing is how the character is transparent to the background, and you'll only see the black lines. The text style and effects are also simple as if not to take away the effect of simplicity this wallpaper tries to show.
The edges of the paper don't go un-noticed, I like the light beige/brown colors.
Excuse me if I made my comment long, but I try to tell you what make it a favorite to me ^_^
