This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
EDIT: changed a small inconsistency that I noticed, as well as the problem pointed out by xasuka.
Thanks everyone for the awesome comments!
I saw the scan for this paper in the animepaper scans section and I completely fell in love with his pose. I knew that I had to make this into a paper somehow. The vector took me about 2 hours, while the background, simple as it may be, took me more than a day. I was completely flummoxed and out of ideas. However, it turned out halfway decent and I'm happy for that. I love the colours, as they are very very warm and right now I'm freezing cold, lol.
The only weird thing I can see is how the orange ray above the mountains kinda fades into white right above them, so there's a blank space. I think it'd look better if there was no gap between the color rays and the mountains.
I hate naruto... but this wall just catched my sight
The composition of the brushes and the colors used are very good
I like it for that.. it's soo unique ^u^
Sorry I don't like it. It just isn't my style. I just don't think the background goes with his outfit. But that whole "land of the rising sun" themed background is pretty cool, it just doesn't go with what Naruto is wearing or the expression on his face. Well good job anyway. Keep up the good work.
You did a good, clean job on the wallpaper, but is it just me, or does it feel that it doesn't really match Naruto? It could just be that I've always seen him in his orange outfit. But good job still ^_^
Hmm...i guess this is one simple, yet imaginative wall to me. The wall featuring the older Naruto Uzumaki in his attacking pose(is he gonna use rasingan??) The background is basically plain with different brushes of light colors to add to its appearance. The emitted color lines from Naruto really reminds me about the Japanese National Flag... Even the position where the lines are emitted is exactly from the same spot!! But it was replaced by the image of Naruto of course. The small little images made using different translucent colors also sports a very harmonious and soothing feeling to this wall. Even though the wall is quite simple, but its hardwork deserves a compliment. Good job!!
Nice wallpaper, really like the vectoring done in this wallpaper, not a big fan of the colours but they do blend in well and match very well the art concept and theme. Good choice in the naruto pic itself. Good job and keep up the excellent work, hope to see some more great work from you soon. Definitely adding this to my favorites for sure :D
