This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
This wallpaper was inspired by a scan from a Dolly Kiss artbook that I found a couple of days ago. I wanted the whole wallpaper to look like canvas (since the texture of the scan has that feel to it), I created some textures out of scanned recycled paper and paper napkins to achieve the background. I added some swirly, text and petal brushes to the image, making sure that the concept of simplicity is still there.
I just fell in love with the image and decided to make something simple even if I have no clue what this series is all about ~__~
Nice
this wall has a great scan in it and the texture makes it look like a water color painting on sketch paper. I love that, making the wall look more like a real
world object.
I don't know if you feel like adding some text of other to the left, just a little as
to not offset the main focus but just to have it not seem like a large empty space.
I love it nice work.
This is just a suggestion, but i'm thinking sheet music, like notes and stuff. I'd the find a pic, set it on multiply, add a 50% opacity, and have it fade out at the swirls around the girl. I hope that helps. ^-^

I can't wait until you put the image in the page. Maybe some elements in the right make not so emptiness the space in the wallpaper.
