This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

Wallpaper No. at AP: Number Eight. Total Time Taken: Been working on it on and off the last half a year. It's funny really, I told myself I would finish it before May, then I pushed it to June, then before Prom, then Graduation and next thing I know, here I am four days before I leave for college.
The Idea
A big hand to Supermonchi and her Last Breath wallpaper. That was my initial inspiration to create my very own digital painting (Albeit mine is obviously of a much lower quality and skill level than hers).

I liked how you outlined everything, even if the lines are a bit pixelated. Or is it supposed to be that way? I like the whole painted effect and I like how the red contrasts subtly with the white background. Overall, it's a very nice wallpaper. ^^
Hmm...to me, this wall is fine. The biggest thing that draws my attention to this wall is its background settings. I like the spring season with sakura trees(i assume that they are, correct me if wrong) and all the bright sunlights shining through between the trees and in the end fall onto shana-chan. The lighting effects are good and i like the way this wall is presented. Even shana-chan's kimono is great and i think it fits her very well, especially with the current season of the year!!(in the wall, of course) In my opinion, the downside of this wall is probably shana-chan herself...It's not that im saying that she was not drawn properly but i think it's abit odd that the usual shana-chan that i've seen before. And, if you look into it properly, you'll notice that her right leg is abit off proportion. It means that it was abit too thin or bent not naturally. And the last thing is her sword, i think her sword is abit too plain in this pic and there wasnt anything on the sword, not even the sword edge is illustrated. However, i still like her hair and her pose, it was great! her hair really looks nice in this wall. Overall, this wall is good, it's just the two things that i mentioned earlier that doesnt look too good on shana-chan. Anyway, Keep up and GAMBATEH! :P

I love the background colors, it's very cool and soft looking in contrast to Shana. The black lines are interesting, even though it contrasts a lot with the background. Still, a great wall, good job :)
Amazingly, the wallpaper from afar seems quite bland and boring. However, the closeup view shows the great work you did with the crispness of the lines. Great job!
Tough Touches and Sharp Lines in This Wallpaper is Really Really Wonderful.
