This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
HUMMM okay... This is my first wallpaper made, first to be post here and I'm not so sure what am I suppose to say here in description...
When I first saw this flying Chise on the Saikano web site (I guess they've changed version now, I don't think you ca still find t on ) .. then makes me wanna make something from it.. Since I'm not be able to make anything complicate, so this is done basically done by the flying Chise from the Saikano official site and the view of the town.
This is where the view of the town from, I took a screenshot from the anime. That was the best shot I could get even it looks blury and half of the town was hidden by the trees .. T_T
For a reason that I put the town under her was that Chise is not for destroy! She exist for protect! .. pretty much the idea =]
Hope someone will like it... my first wallpaper.. and give m any of your advises and comment.
Hi! I like your wallpaper even though it's not yet finished. Anyway, I like the idea (although I really don't have any idea of what anime is this) and it's really beautiful.
I'll be waiting for this wallpaper to be done, promise! For the meantime, I'm going to used what's posted here.
Thx a lot for the advises! ... but does it seems image quality of he haracter It's a bit over compressed and the lines are pixelated to you guys? I made this in 1024 x 768, but when now turns in 1400 x 1050 , the character should look blury a little... so I sharpened the image, I think that how it cause the over compress of my character =(
I absolutely love the concept of your wallaper! It has great potential becoming something really great. You just have to correct some things on it!
First, I see that the clouds are very low quality. You could clean them up by:
① Duplicating the cloud layer
② Apply a median filter on the cloud layer that is on top
③ Overlay the top cloud layer
④ You may want to duplicate the filtered layer a few times until the clouds doesn't look rough
Second, clean up the scan of Chisa. You could clean it up by using the same method as above, however, on the last step, do not duplicate too many times, or the finer details will be lost. Also, there is a bit too much light around Chisa.
Third, the night sky could be A LOT darker, that way, it could bring out the city and Chisa. The stars could be cleaned up as well. You could use the same method as the clouds, but ignore step four, since anymore duplications will eliminate the stars all together. If that method does not work, here is always another way:
①Go onto the internet, preferably Google Images, look for "stars", make sure you are doing a search for images at least 1500 px by 1100 px and that they are on a very dark sky.
②Once you got your stars, put it on top of your wallpaper and apply Overlay > Screen and erase the stars that you don't want
Now, lastly, the city... it needs to be cleaned up too. Use the same method as the clouds.
... I think that's it!

I don't understand!I fixed all the noises problem so it looks fine in original size now (1400x1050 or 1024x768) ... but in thumbnail or previw version of the wall, the over compressed of the image looks awful! It shows even more noises than before...
