Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!
Because KAMINA is spelled with ALL-CAPS required by LAW, KAMINA is THE EPITOME OF MANLINESS AND THE SAVIOR OF THE UNIVERSE CAUSE HE USED HIS PLASTIC SHOVEL TO DIG THROUGH THE HEAVENS.

The concept is based on WHIRLWIND STYLE KAMINA, the fabric like colorful thing behind him is a depiction of "Seven Colored Wind" which idea was taken from a known artist, while the splatter to give the sense of energy coming from him. The energy is also represented by the way there is a glow coming from him.
I also made this wallpaper cause I was watching GL and then I visited 4chan:
If there's one thing I learned from Gurren Lagann, it's that the wimpy little kid with no friends I always see playing in the sandbox in the park could may well be the future savior of the universe. I just have to believe in him like no one else has, give him inspiring speeches like "YOUR PLASTIC SHOVEL IS A SHOVEL THAT WILL DIG THROUGH THE HEAVENS", and die.
This anime is made of extreme LOL, trolling, <Lucky Star, Swimming Lessons and F*CK YEAH KAMINA, all the while making it one of the best things I managed to watch with little finger twitching to fast forward to scenes where MANLY KAMINA can be seen.

Most of Kamina's black lines are really jagged edged, along with parts in the background. You should try working larger and sizing it down instead of working at size. But I like the general motion of the wall, it really has that out there Gurren Lagann feel to it.

Now about that wall: I love the energy of the background but Kamina seems to dark for this wall or maybe the whole wall in general needs to be lightened up...
...or maybe (Just taking a guess here) the sheer awesomeness and pure manliness of Kamina is just too much for this wall and our feeble minds can't even begin to comprehend him. :)

Well I've been watching the series so this is one of my fav anime but this well is so - so, it feels more like a slap together wall and it is a ashame I haven't seen any decent ones on it yet being such a cool series.
Gurren Lagann is probably the best show I've watched in the past year or so (ever since Black Lagoon ended) and Kamina is undoubtedly the best character from the show. It's an old and storied anime tradition (Going back to Gundam original I'd say) that the young and otherwise meek will one day save everyone, and Gurren Lagann is no different. The only way that Gurren deviates from the norm is that even after he

saves everyone, there is more and it goes on to where everyone eventually hates him in a political sense. I guess it's alot like Gundam in that regard, since Amuro (and really, all newtypes) were shunned and locked away after the 1 year war.
I agree with everyone else that the aliasing (I guess that's what you'd call it) takes away from the wallpaper, but overall it IS a Gurren Wallpaper, and thus it couldn't be a complete failure =D keep up the good work
Man that wallpaper looks weird, i ont know if that is the charcater position,or the colours that are waaaay to funky or what, i get the generasl idea and all but i really dont know what to say so you can make it better,
Very excellent depiction of the sporatic entity that is Kamina. This show is definately one of my top ten, and Kamina was such a rocking awesome character! Definately a driving force behind everything, and I feel that you've captured that essence in this paper. The shapes and smudges in the background work well to reinforce the dominant image of the character in the centre, and I feel this is also a good relation back to his centrality in the show! Keep up the great work!
