This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Oh im so happy that im finally finished my wall. ^^ This wall is a remake of the My Will ending for Inuyasha. Honestly the first time I saw this ending I fell in love with the Ferris wheel part of it. Its so pretty, I wish I could go to such a place one day.*tear* XD So basically everything on this wall was made by me (except for one texture I used on the big sphere buildings). Everything was made from scratch ppl!! (the only vectored part is the buildings in the bg (with the lights). It was basically me with very tiny screenshots. So there was a lot of mental break downs, physical break downs, and many “Im not good enoughz”. XDDDDDD Also the sky, grass, and bushes were painted. < 3 sky painting.. >_<’’ So I started out by making the ferris wheel , it was annoying cuz I changed the design of it half way through the walling process, but im happy with the final design that I chose. All the screenshots that I had had a different ferris wheel light design. So I combined the two that I like the best. ^^ The ferris wheel really did require a lot of straight and similar lines and stuff to make, so I was working on it for quite some time. ^^’’ The buildings (the small ones) weren’t too hard to make, itz just that they have many windows and stuff, but it wasn’t too bad. The sphere buildings are one of the things that I had my mental break downs off of.. XD omg.. picking the right shades to make it look cylindrical was a bi***! loL! The lighting was generally very easy, it was kinda hard making the street light type things on the grassy island, and the red lights on the cylinder buildings. But in the end I got it. ^^ Also, its very weird but the shadows on the screenshot for the street lights were wrong! zomg! loL! so I changed them. So that’s basically it (trying to keep this short, I know how much you guyz hate long descriptions XDDD)
SPOILER (click to view)
Also I really urge you to do this.. get off your comfy spinny comp chairz and look at my wall from afar, it looks so pretty when you look at it as a whole ^^ loL!
Special thanks to `Deto15 and `k1ru for their awesome tips! ^^
At first I was like, "Honey and Clover?" but okay, it's not that, but whatever! :D
/is being confused/
So I don't know this ending, but I DO know that this wall is very well executed and it's so. Frikkin. Cute. Like, me lurves you for teh kyuut-ness spewing out of this wall XD So even though I dunno anything about InuYasha, I can appreciate the skill in this wall :3
Very nice! ^_^ I love how it looks indeed! I wish you made a 1280x800 wallpaper. Man, it sucks to make so many sizes for us all, huh? xD I shall add this to my favorites! ^^
It is neither good nor evil, but thinking makes it

I was always a little fond of this scene from the anime. You did a nice job with the small images you had available. I'm not sure what it is but it doesn't seem to reach the same effectiveness and intensity that this scene embodies in the anime.
Oh my, wow. This is really great. It looks just like the ending of Inuyasha. I love this song. Seems all the work you put into it really paid off, it looks wonderful. Great job and keep it up!
/(oOo)# that is insaaaane, good-insane, but insaaane, veery nice

I remember that scene of the ending song (although i gave up watching inuyasha quite a long time ago)! your recreation of it has captured a great mood. :3 i'd like to see the ferris wheel lights be more colorful though. and a couple more things: the bushes/trees look somewhat flat ( some highlight along the top edge might help things... :P consider where the light is coming from) and the distance blue buildings are too in focus (everything else is nice and soft). they also seem quite bright (night time buildings are generally dim looming things with glowing windows).
i hope you don't mind my complaints >_< sorry. but i do love the sky. ^^; nice job.
I agree! Even I fell in love with it. :o I really love the scenery views and especially the idea of vectoring just scenery views since that's like very rare. :o
I really love the effects you used even though it's quite simple except for the ferris wheel. OX Ferris Wheel was the best here and had the most work I bet.
Ive been waiting for someone to do this ever since I saw this opening >__> Such a beautiful wall (and whenever I see it the song pops in my head and makes me cry!) Great job, I love you for it.
