This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
This is my entry for the august competition of Scenic.
The wall must have a fight scene with minimum of two people fighting in some way.
Well, I'm usually making bright and romantic walls so this is my first try by making a wall which includes a fight scene. It was really hard for me to find the right scan but by browsing AP and thinking about anime with fights I stopped at Inu Yasha. I browsed around and found that scan: http://www.animepaper.net/gallery/scans/Inu-Yasha/item133132/
I fell in love with it at first look but now I had to clean a scan for the first time (I cleaned scans before but only some scan errors). It was really driving me insane at the end. I needed nearly one week to extract the scan. Started the cleaning on the left site which was not so hard to do. But the right site with Naraku was like hell. I thought I would never make it in time but I cleaned the rest today and used the hole evening for the background, lightening and some little other stuff on the wall.
I hate naming my walls and like always I was sitting and thinking.
Well, hickman500 invited me to his group "Good vs Evil" and I think this name is just right for my wall.
Btw, it's my second widescreen wallpaper because the scan works better this way.
Here is a version in 1600 x 1200 but I had to resize and cut it to match the resolutions.
Anyway, I would be happy if you could stop by and write me a line about my wall. Maybe you can leave a fav as well. Critics and suggestions are welcome like always!
Puh, I'm done for this week with walling. Just want to smoke a cigarette (I know it's unhealthy but quitting is really hard) and don't want to see my PhotoShop for the rest of the week!
Yeah yeah widescreen! Danke dann kann ichs für meinen desktop nutzen^^
Anyways, the scans are cleaned very well and match very good with the background. Frankly I'm not a fan of inuyasha, but that wall caught my attention and the full view looked even better then the thumbnail. (of course^^)
Great job, mach weiter so! +FAV
That's a very exciting fight scene you have here :) I wish my entry to the contest has as much action as yours ^^ Overall, it's a nice wall, with the fire-like background and all the characters in action poses. But there's several extraction issues, and a weird black burnt-in marks around the edges of some of the characters. This wall could use some more scan-cleaning, but otherwise you have a solid wall here. Nice work.
Oh boy! such a pain to extract all his hair u_u .. but in your wall i think you did an excellent job covering the text on the original scan n_n
and nice job in the background looks like a fire scene :D
Well done! n_n
Weeeeeeeeee! you madez a Inuyasha wallie! < 3 inuyasha XDD. Really awesome fight scene voicy! Naraku's hair must of been a HUGE pain to extract! XD and i ador the scan you chose ^^ +fav.

That is a crazy crazy frog wallpaper, my head hurts, too many inuyasha images for a day, ther wall is superb, all i can say is that, i love the whole idea, colour and all that you did, really, ithat is my favorite part of the show, keep making walls like taht ok
xxoo
XD And such a complicated fight scene at that. I can imagine how painful the extraction was. You have no much patience. XD Very admirable.
Though I do agree that you should try some textures. ^^ And maybe a few shadows? It's always a pain trying things out because 90% of the time, we throw it away. But occasionally, we find something that works in ways that surprise us. =)
Yeah an Inu Yasha wall from you ^^
I like Inu Yasha as the anime in the Tv. ^^
Good work with the scan.
I wish you good luck for the competition.
Of course a favie from me ^^
Wow i like the Scan , you work hard on it and its looks NICE :D

Darf ich dich schlagen? Hör auf zu rauchen! Damn, Mädel, das ist so ungesund und schädlich und man stirbt früh! D:
Okay, zum Wall: nice wall and bg effects. I think you could've added more fire-ish elements though.
Maybe I said it tons of time before, but you really
deserve a statue for all the patience you put in the scans extraction xD
Nice cleaning work, I'm sure it was a pain...anyway, I would add a soft blur
to the scan because I can still see some noise due to the scanning process.
I think you made the right choice for the background, it fit the fight scene more
than a "static" background of a forest or a castle.
Now there's only one thing you have to do:
Quit smoking xD !

Oh, yeees. Long time to see a good inuyasha wallpaper (I'm not a big fun of the anime, but it was not bad). Nice job! Sorry for the late comment ^^""""""
I have seen this scan many times before, and always thought it was a shame it it needed so much fixing. It must have been hell, specially Naraku's hair. Nice job.
