This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Another Art Nouveau-styled wallpaper, because I can't get enough of that vintage look and feel. And from Wolf's Rain, which has plenty of great scans to fit that style to a T.
A very long time ago I started a wall called "Dogs & Angels" which was going to use this scan of Cheza and the wolves. I had traced Cheza, and then abandoned the wall. Fast forward to a few weeks ago, when I saw this scan of the wolves and wanted more bishounen on my desktop. So I traced the wolves, and was trying to figure out how to put a nice Nouveau frame around it when I remembered the old Cheza scan. I had to retrace Cheza because I'd purged the old one ages ago in a fit of cleaning, but I began to put the two images together. The frame idea actually came from Atelier Marie, another series with tons of great Nouveau-styled artwork, because I wanted a round frame that was reminiscent of a crescent moon. Add in a bunch of flowers from an old Wolf's Rain wallpaper and you have this.
I kept the old name, because it was still appropriate.
Textured, for that vintage poster feel.
Great vector as always. I am not a fan of the colors and texture you've used, though. Maybe you would like to try something different? Just a suggestion...

Very cool, definitely stays true to the whole Wolfs Rain style/feel. My only complaint is that I feel there is too much yellow and not enough shading/levels on this yellow to brown. Definitely +fav.
An awesome vector and concept as always but I think the yellow stands out a little too much. But this Art Nouveau style looks interesting to try out. Overall, a great wall to fav!
Good work!! nice wallpaper
good Art Nouveau style... i don't see a lot of this kind of wallpepes around... i thing because is a lot of work, the lot of vectors.
in general this wallpaper is great, the flowers and the typographic are really good, the texture of the background is good too.
the only thing i dont like is the color... i think is too much, is too yellow and in art nouveau the contrast is very important.
Great work, as usual! Too bad [for me ] the widescreen version has the circle and Kiba's and Hige's legs cut off, although it DOES look very good like that, as well. Could we possibly hope for a version that has the circle complete, as in the 1280x1024 one? +fav, thanks for making all these great wallpapers
Great vintage look. Amazing design and style. It makes Wolf's Rain look a thousand times better. Effective title and excellent use of colour and contrast. It's a well designed wall that anyone can see will easily climb the ranks. There is no short supply of skill here.
Great wall its so nostalgic i like the way the its done and i like the poses in the background it adds so much to the vintage look. keep up the good work and thanks for sharing.
Very very great..........I like the concept.........its very nice.........................................I like this wallpaper.......................

A wonderful wallpaper. The 'stain glass' look about it works pretty well with the crowds of flowers and the characters, like the sun's flowing into it. =D
