While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Hei and Amber are sitting on the support beams of an unfinished skyscraper with the city lights behind them.
The characters came from this scan. Hei was originally wearing handcuffs, which explains why he is willing to put up with being in such close proximity to Amber without trying to kill her, but as I couldn't imagine him getting up this high with his hands bound, I decided to get rid of them. Let's just pretend that he decided to let Amber be for now. My favorite part of the wallpaper was the billboard, making the neon lights was loads of fun. The title on the billboard came directly from a screenshot of the show's opening.
Oh mai! What is my puppy Hei doing up there with Amber? xD Lol unlike most people, i actually like this pairing. *gets stab by Amber haters* Anyway im glad to see a wall with these two together. =D
The background is fairly simple, but it still looks great. (anything with Hei looks great. xD) I also like the billboard. I think you did a good job with the glow on "Darker Than Black". But the glow on "Hei&Amber" coud have been better. It still does'nt look as neon glowy as i would have liked it to be. The vectors overall are clean and neat, and the lighting effect is also good. Im glad you added some shading to the vector so that it would look more natural.
You can sense something sweet with Amber but cold around Hei. Hehe... I love the wallpaper. It has the right amount of darkness and light. The effects are good too. The background is pretty simple, but it's very fitting for the characters.
Creapy and lovely... jajaja... it suits with the anime. This wallpaper is excelent, but the background didn't fit, you put your characters in a higher place compared to the building that says "darker than black", the other skycraper is ok... just compare those buildings, the only one that fits is the skycraper. But thanks for the wallpaper!
