This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Alright, let me say that the dragon on the sliding door were made from scratch (pen tool), the dragons in the clouds on the other hand was from a render. still everthing else it hand make. doors, floors, clouds, and etc. i had to give the render highlights because the origional was very noisy.
for everyone who doesn't know who this guy is, he's kurogane from "tsubasa chronicle". it's a good anime series and i would recomend it to everyone. even people who arn't anime fans.
i have no idea how many hours and how many layers i used for this. i don't even wanna know.
hope everyone like this - enjoy and c&c

Edit: sorry if the wood sucks from your point of view, but this is the first time i'v did room scenes.
Wow. a wallpaper of kurogane^_^
i love the background, it's way cool. i like the tree, mountains and the sky, but the dragons were a really nice touch.
the screen door was quite nice too.

You made that dragon from scratch? With no tablet, or another dragon to trace? You've got some drawing skills then.
Well the wallpaper is mediocre, and the guassian blur and fate with darken effect doesn't go (makes kuro-pupy too catoony). You could've vetored/ re-cged him instead.
the floors and doors could use some textures and the clouds/trees/ mountains are too blury.
The "Kurogane" typo is badly placed. Good job though.

I disagree lol I like this style, kinda reminds me of waterpaint or something, the stock fits because the bg is very soft, a vector or cg will be too contrasting besides he's not really using highlights so there's no points.
Yeah dong man good job on the dragon drawing and I see a few flaws but good job nevertheless the setting is very good and the design is superb.
The color are beautiful, the green background match Kurogane red ouytfit very well... and the black dragon on the door is awesome !! Nice wallapaper :D !
I think this wallpaper is underrated, I like the dragons in the background (the dragons are a render?), and the green clouds are novel to say the least. It fits in with the strange atmosphere it exudes... very unique indeed.
The weakest part of this excellent wall is the lower left-hand corner. The deck looks flat, and the mountains and trees look like one entity. Honestly, if you were to give the mountains more dimensions (add shadows!) and make the pine trees darker, and add some shadow and texture to the deck, this would be super duper wonderful! I like the tree; it's flowering, but a gnarled mess of branches. And the dragons and sky are excellent! Good job!
I love this wall. The dragons are cool, and while the blur makes things a little fuzzy, I think it all works together nicely to make a good final product. The only thing I would suggest is adding a little texture to the word structures in the wall. They look too simple while everything else is much more detailed.
Nice wallpaper! Although my only complaint is the floor on the lower left. It doesn't seem to go to well with the rest of the background. It stands out a bit much. Dragons from scratch? Amazing. Anyway, keep those wallpapers coming. I hope to see more from you.
NICE dragons and shadowing on the sliding door. The softness on the scenic background is really nice, but it clashes with the crispness of the architecture you've created for the foreground. The wooden board floor should less clear, to suggest a focus on the extreme foreground.
The background is well done and this is a nice wallpaper of kurogane (though at first i though he looked a bit like a mix of kurogane and the guy from trigun)
I really like this. It's very good style and the setting works well. I'm gonna agree with Rukita about the deck in the lower left ... just some texture I think would get it to mesh a little better with the rest of the wall. Otherwise - Great job, especially with the drawn objects.
Nice wallie, the image is a combination of Trigun Vash with Kurogane san... I love the aspect the place and the dragons flying in the sky... nice back.
Wow! nice dragons! ^_^ i think the glasses make kurogane look sorta like vash lol, but that's no problem. The background is great, but I think the lower left had corner can be fixed up a bit too :)
