As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. Weeeee I finally made this wall... XD
I found [this] scan here in the gallery and I loved it so I first [vectored] it and then I wanted to make a wall with the vector, but I didn't have any ideas...So in the end I did something simple... (as I always do X_X and now when i look at it it still feels like something's missing...but I really don't know what else to do and I really do want to use this image as a wall XD --> LOVE Sougo :D )
So...vectoring the original scan was pretty hard because it was kinda blurred and I had a hard time making those outlines as thin as I could...
The sky is made with Photoshop's default brushes...and it's for the forst time when I like how I did the sky in a wallpaper XD
The birds are vectored from a manga page from Naruto XD (when Itachi uses genjutsu)
The texture is from [DA! Desktop Anime]

Wall made in Photoshop CS2.

Gintama is so under appreciated despite it's popularity o_O
So anyway..The wall is very simple and the colors are easy on the eyes. Okita does look verrrry cute ^__^ but I think he stands out too much, which isn't necessarily a bad thing if that's what you were aiming for. But that's just me.
All in all, I like it very much :3 Maybe Okita will persuade more people to watch Gintama with his cuteness...and Bazooka >:3 emoticon

Please don't mind me, but for some odd reason, this wall really stood out. Maybe it's the contrast in your colours.. but this wall is definitely refreshing. Love it. +fav

this character's attitude is hilarious in the anime. very nice wall, amazing vector and the choice of texture is perfect. there needs to be more shinsengumi walls, seems this is the only one.

Finally I get to see an Okita wallpaper! Congrats on that in the first place!!

I like how you did the composition and kept the background colour scheme, though I do have to say that the new color choice you used for his hair and skin isn't very much of my liking.

Overall, a nice piece.

I really like the Okita wallpaper. The background is very fitting, but more of my taste are in darker wallpapers. But it is still a good wallpaper. Keep up the good work.
