This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Dada it's done~!
thanks to those who criticed it in session zero, you guys came up with some awesome titles,Special thanks to `Owari! :P
I came across this beautiful scan of Yuki: clicky click
and decided to make a wall for my favourite char in Haruhi.
I wanted to make it seem like she was on a stage performing. I added the varies colours and the bars of light to imitate spot lights. I used bright colours because I want a happy mood compared to her usual monotone-ness.
It took a day to convince myself to make this wall, a few hours trying to figure out the colours and a few more actually making this wall. It's made in Adobe Photoshop CS2.
Ooo yay, you posted it! I like how you emphasized Nagato Yuki, because I couldn't agree more that that is an awesome scan. The random circles also work pretty well, but it seems a little blank on the right side. But, sadly I can't think of anything that you could've put there apart from more weird shapes...
Oh yes, the spotlights. I think it's neat that they're making a rising sun pattern... errr... it's that shape on purpose, right? Dx
I like the colors and the funkiness of the BG! It matches the weirdness of this image of Yuki really nicely (witch costume on top of a school uniform with a guitar at that angle is weird lol)! To me, it looks more like she is on a sunny hill than at a concert haha, but that's even cooler I think. Moving on, her outline along the left side is rather jagged. I'm guessing it's from extracting her? If it weren't for the jaggedness, I'd say she would blend very nicely with the BG!
