This is the second wallpaper I've made that I can stand to use myself, so hopefully that says something good about it. :P

Saw the scan, had to have a wallpaper of it, and two weeks later, it's done. The background was the most time-consuming part - I tried several before I settled on this one - and I'm still not very happy with it. But I love the scan; I spent several hours smudging it (the original was very grainy), and the resulting soft, slightly glowy effect inspired the rest of the wallpaper.
