This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
"Kiss in the Ring" is originally a traditional children's game from England, Scotland and Ireland. Its also known as "Cat and the Mouse" where a group of children form a ring by holding hands to protect the mouse from the cat. They would generally sing a song, one of which goes:
I've come to borrow the riddle,
There's a big hole in the middle.
I've come to borrow the hatchet,
Come after me and catch it.
This (widescreen) wallpaper tries to combine abstract with pop art in the best of my abilities to do so. If you see any flaws, it is probably because its beyond my amateur manipulation skills to fix them! ^^ This is also my first widescreen wallpaper, and boy is there alot of extra space during design time! Aside from these, I hope you enjoy the sense of childish amusement in this wallpaper, and give more credit to the innocent ones! Enjoy!
I really like the colors and the brushes in the back. also, the feel is very happy; reminds me of halloween. Too bad it doesn' t fit my computer size XD.
WOW! Thats the first thing I thought when I saw this wallie, this is awesome I love everything about it the colors are great and I just love the whole style and feel of the wallpaper. Keep it up.
one question I have to ask though... what's the secret to doing the various sizes/colors of circles you have all over the wall? (the "bullseye" looking circles)

Childish amusement? It's incredible. I don't normally don't like the pop art style in many of the wallpapers because it grows too messy in my eyes, but yours looks great! The only thing I would say is that the characters don't fit too well with the scene besides their color, but they look cute no matter what ;P. Plus, they look like they're having fun!
I like widescreen by the way because I use a widescreen laptop, so keep it up!

If religion is that which binds men to one another, and irreligion that which sunders, then must I testify that I found the religion of my country in its musical genius and its irreligion in its churches and drawing rooms.
