After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

I just...really needed to make a wall.
I've been doing a lot of freelance lately, and I hate dealing with stupid people. So I needed to do something for me, and not a client for once.

Anyways, this series is hysterical. Thanks to redxxii for telling me about it over water and coke in philly! The past 2 seasons have been pretty "meh" for anime. Romeo x Juliet, and sayonara zetsubo sensei have been it for me.

So, if you feel like i do, and you're losing faith in anime all together, watch this show. it's hysterical.
And don't be surprised if you see another wall from this series from me later on.
Not much else to say except i remade this wall twice. cause it sucked. It was tough since I'm such a depth-whore, and the scan demanded a flat background.
I did my best.
I think I'm losing whatever touch people said i had >_>

Oh yeah, flyindreams reminded me. originally there was no window, but it looked like crap. here is the version right before i decided i really hated it and added a wall:

I do not really now the series very much but by the little i know i can tell you really put a lot of thought in it. the wallpaper is amazing, the background gives a perspective of the reflection o the character. nice colours makes it pop up. great job

Haha I'm reading the manga for this and it's definitely great so far. You should check out Dennou Coil too if you want to find more good anime series x3 Anyhoo this scan is sitting pretty in my to-wall folder and I hope to get to it sometime... you're definitely right about the flat vs. depth thing. I *think* it'd look better if she was outside too with the tree and grass extending out, maybe with a few more faded rock-shapes in the background so you can get a bit more depth with the flat vector shapes. Something about the window makes it look like it's floating a bit to me, might just be the shadow on the right.

Looks good to me! We talked about this one earlier, so I don't have much to add. Looking out the window to see Sensei hanging from a tree is strangely apropos for this show. I'm not a huge fan of the grass by the window, but I really love the colors and textures of this one. I'll have to add it to my favorites.

I think that the girl looks really nice, but the image of hanged person just don't really go nicely with the wall, there isn't enough connection between them, I think. the background on the other side of the window is excellent it really looks nice. Overall the wall is done with a lot of skill, which I would expect coming from you :)

PS: WTF? with NEWA? You guys are such looosers! /(O_O)/ emoticon no more itchy for you missy!!

I love the texture and the window was a good idea.
The colours go well together and the silhouette is pretty powerful.
Hard to imagine the series is hilarious because the wall looks pretty serious, lol.

Great wall, however, something about this wall seems wrong,like you said, it does seems flat, what you can do is creating shadow for the girl and you might want to expand the window's border a little bit, since it looks too small to compare to the girl, and acording to the BG, her back suppose to be darker, you know, create a feeling that light coming from the window
i'm not sure you understand what i mean (i'm sucks at explaining) but, it's just my opinion
overall, this wall is great, love the texture and the color theme

I think the window was a good move, and I love the style you've used. Very asian-traditional.

Since you mentioned you were into depth...another the way the asian masters used to add depth to their 2D style paintings was to use high depth. You know those old Chinese paintings with really high mountains and smaller people/villages etc? Just something interesting to know if you haven't already heard of high depth, and decide to work with a flat scan again ^^. (There are also two other depth tricks to 2D painting, but I forgot those after my final exam in art history >_>).

It is a great show, though I had been thinking the opposite about anime--there's a lot I've really liked in the last few seasons.

In terms of the wall, I think I slightly prefer the version without the window. Not because this version doesn't work, it's just that somehow the grass being so high seems to work better with her in amongst it, but kinda doesn't out the window (I'm also slightly struck that the grass around the tree is so small, and yet the grass close to us is so huge).

I think I would have gone with a more traditional style Japanese door (paper screen style) to go more with the theme of these two characters, but it would have been hard to make that clear with it just being her top half.

Very creepy but at the same time cute and sweet..the color is very relaxing altough out of the window there is a man hanging under the tree..love her kimono..overall..nice!!

I don't know the anime but this wall is nice. Moreover it goes really well with the ubuntu default theme, which is not common. A little too sad to keep it long on my desk though. p(ToT)q emoticon

Nice wallpaper.I love the background...And the colour choice in the wallpaper is also looking great.The best part is the scenery outside the window..Its looking very nice and so realistic which gives the wallpaper a great touch...I also like the scan and the wall's wallpaper is also looking good..A great job on the text....Very nice and keep up the good work
