This wallpaper gives us a perfect example of how a simple manga scan can be turned into a beautiful vector. Not only did danalm trace the lineart, but he also added amazing details and a simple, yet wonderful background. Furthermore, the wallpaper shows us how the monochromatic style can make your work look really interesting.
Great, now im going psycho... it may be possible ive been spending a few hours searching for a scan that i think i saw but truly never existed... it was all in my head =.=;
A few days ago in the Latest Scans I saw this amazing scan of Alice Parade, I don't know the serie but the scan is awesome so I decided to made a wallpaper with it ^_^

In the beggining I want to made something with a lot of shapes, lights and a lot of things but in the end I prefer to made something more simple ^_^
I work a lot with the scan cleaning and improving the colors of the scan to made it looks better and for the background I use a photo, some filters and a lot of variations of colors to made it looks perfect for the scan ^_^
I really like the concept and the scan is beautiful
i love the background too, it's like the roof of some old monuments in Paris ...
but I don't know why you change the saturation of the scan ... so there is a big contrast between the scan and the background which is more luminous than colored...
I think the character would be better if it have the same colors
The character style strongly reminds me of Noizi Itoh's artstyle. Is it just me? Anyways, I'm glad that you decided to keep this simple. And you have a very interesting perspective here too, which you nicely did by tilting the character a bit. Not to mention you positioned the character underneath the roof beams to make them look like light rays emitting from behind her head xD
Overall, you did a pretty good job on photo-editing the bg, and everything blends in together pretty well. Nicely put together :) Good work.
