This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Decided to submit this one today afterall ^^; I was waiting until AP ratings and showcase will work corrent but I'm rather impatient person afterall >_> Oh well...
Characters are Rin Tohsaka and Archer.
This was based on one of scenes from Unlimited Bladeworks scenario. Actually, I like most of scenes from the game so much, that they would look great on a desktop even without walling ^^; but game works in resolution 800x600 so not many people can use them that way >_> That's why I've vectored this scene ^^
I wanted to make bg a bit more detailed (in original version, there's only gradient and few petals and it was still looking cool XD ) but in the end I've failed petals I've made were looking rather bad so I've left only a sky which may look rather blank Hope you will like it anyway ^^;
Here's original screenshot (you may use it if your resolution is 800x600 ^^; )
And here's textless version for those who prefer it that way ^^
This looks awesome
great vector dude!
i like the way you put in the details iwthout making the edges too sharp... everything blends in.
most of it looks more painted than vectored.
anyways nice work.. keep it up!!

Beautiful vibrant colours. :)
I like the watermark behind the text too.
The cropping is a little odd in the screenshot, but I guess that's just how the screenshot is and not your fault.
Also the background you enhanced is a good improvement but still rather empty.
Well i have seen fate stay night a long time ago and i really think that the anime is well done, the only thing that ithink is odd is that the characters area little bit off scale. they are not that different in hight like in the wallpaper, he is higher that her of course but not the double of her. but well the idea is nice, his chopped head gives a misterious touych to it. keep the good work and oi really hope to see more work like this from you soon here in animepaper
I love this..its as if its telling a story, as if she's really saying goodbye to her master. The small text in the middle adds to that story feel, too I think. As if its the end of a novel or a movie. The whole scene is so perfect and so is the sunset that also makes it have that goodbye, farewell kind of thing going on. A good metaphor!
Vector is good as always, (and indeed it has a more painterly look rather than vector - and that's a nice thing ^_^) but yes background is simple... Perhaps more lighting effects and a setting sun behind torn clouds or something? Maybe it'll look more dramatic like that. But if it's fine with you as it is then that's ok.
Vector is really nice!
My fav character from Fate/Stay Night is Archer and Rin is close behind him so this wall really appeals to me. I raelly like the feeling that emanates from the wall~! Kind of like a peaceful feeling. Anyway, I wish the background wasn't so plain. Maybe you could have added a few things here and there but oh well. Nice work anyway!
+fav (cos Deto-sama's wallpapers are always good)
Aww...
How sad... Archer is leaving Rin forever... but oh well can't be helped, anyway to commenting...
The background of the wallpaper suits the two characters and the atmospher very well, I'd say perfectly, it was actually better that you didn't add the petals in because it won't fit very well with the atmosphere, but that's just me
Overall it's a great wallpaper
Keep it up!
Vector is clean. I like your attempt to conveying an emotion with these two characters. The background is sort of cool.
This is what I like about this wallpaper:
- Archer's head not fully displayed
- Literal display of both characters without special filters or effects
- The boring orange background
This is what annoyed me:
- Too much empty space around Rin.
- Archer spans vertically across the wallpaper like a pillar - feels imbalanced.
- Scans feels very static because of your ultra clean vectoring.
Ok I just listed a bunch of contradictions. I see things I don't see much in other wallpapers and there might be a reason why.

great great!
Anna/Fire
It does feel a bit empty, but just a bit, and that fits the farewell theme so it's ok :) Textless version is better I think.
Nicely done.
The image choose transmit the idea of wallpaper very well xD

Nice vector work, I always loved that screenshot, I like the warmer sky you made :3
A fav from me, obviously.
