This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

I'm on a Alphonse kick lately, I just enjoy how astheticly pleasing his character design is. You can do almost any style around him, but grunge seems to work quite well for me and for whenever I make a wall around him. Again, I had no ideas for this one, just opened a blank canvas and tried to work my magic. Hopefully this one will suffice. Please enjoy.

absolutely sublime. The little color there is (runes) draw the attention in to Al even with chromatically coherent elementas and details.

Hey. ^^

Awesome wall, but the only thing I'm not sure about is the cloud on the right side of the metal dude, it feels like it's directing my focus on the cloud instead, since it seems to overwhelm the character.

Apart from that, I liked the overall feel and look, nice work!

Probably the best FMA wallpaper I've ever seen.
The background is fantastic, the clouds are well drawn, and all the shapes [except of one or two C4Ds(??)] suit well. Also, Al pops out very nicely, like he actually is in the clouds.
He doesn't look bad without any blending, but I thing he could look a little better with some slight blending.

Where you making any other walls at the same time? only saying this because you have another pic in this wallpaper, look above Als head, I see a girl with her cleavage hanging out, why is that?.. big overlook, by you and the great "gfx mods" here.

It's a distraction.

and mixing scan lines with erratic grunge brushwork doesn't appeal for me, and the outline of al is all fuzzy, cloud idea was working but got drowned.

So keep practicing is all I can say, for a more pro look.

About Al, he's a bit blurry around the outlines and perhaps he would've blended a bit better if you added a bit of a texture to him too ^^

But anyway. Masterfulstyle, I can't see any girl :/

And back to the wall itself, definite fav from me, you'll definitely get among the top rated with this awesome texture work, congrats n_n

I like this. The clouds are wonderfully placed, the character looks interesting and mysterious.

This wallpaper looks awesome. to me it looks like he's glowing cause he just did something to bring down everything around him, and the clouds are dust clouds from all the rubble. really intense i love it.

I really like the design on Al's armor. Everything is pretty moody and dark, but I like how Al captures the attention while still maintaining to blend in with the bg. Keep up the good work.

Nice title. The clouds make a nice effect to blend in with the image. The image realls comes together through the use of colour and the lines of the suit of armour. You get my +fav.

I like the idea, but the background doesn't seem to reinforce your title (idea). In other words, I would've never have guessed that you were portraying any sort of angelic idea (beauty or darkness) without an explanation.

Like you said though, his character (and alchemy symbols) work nicely with many ideas. This is just my opinion - it seems that many others enjoyed it more thoroughly though! Thanks for showing us your wall.
