This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Elements = Created in Photoshop CS3: Lots of Blending options (multiply, darken), Levels, Curves, Saturation, Color Balance, and some custom pattern scan line fills that have been faded down, ect.
Ask me any questions you have about how I made it, thanks.

This picture of Ichigo looks great with this background. Don't think I've seen this image with street clothes before, usually it's just the shinigami uniform. Great job.
YAY! Another great wallpaper of yours with the mix of anime & real life. The picture of Ichigo goes along very well with the background again, fading slightly and blending into it. I like the colors (as usual) :) and the style used. Thanks so much!
Ichigo looks like he just belongs there. I really like the fact that there is still a difference between him and the background in terms of the texture and the finish of paper. The lighting combi is beautiful as well. It really looks like something that the animators would probably do the opening sequence for the anime!
