This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
This wall uses a vector of Yoko from the anime Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, and is probably one of my favorite images that I've found for a long while. It's so smooth, very clean, and its a great pose I'd say!
This wall is also the first time I've used a whole new assortment of brushes that I just recently discovered from a friend of mine, so It's a bit of a trial run I think. But, it's my new desktop wallpaper, and I think it came out looking alright, but I'd love some advice to improve the technique as well. Thanks!
Again, thanks for Moccha's advice, I changed my signature in the corner to stand out a bit less and made the colors blend more with the background. Now hopefully it won't stick out like a sore thumb :D
That's a very clean scan. No wonder it has been used a few times before.
Nice cropping & positioning of the scan.
The background has some nice depth to it. Love the colours.
Good job!
Very nice. It's is true that Yoko is absolutely stunning in this particular scan and you used it for such a nice wallpaper. The red background is the usual (but also nice) idea to go along with Yoko's long red hair. The different circles/dots/etc are artistic and complete the abstract design that you have managed to create (of course I take it into account that this was your intention, I hope I'm not mistaken about the whole thing) without having any negative effects, especially since this was your first try in using these effects^_^
And for the record Tengen Toppga Gurren Lagann rocks, make more wallpapers of it!
This is a good wallpaper. It would be great if not for the lack of contrast between foreground and background.
If you amped up Yoko's brightness/contrast a bit, I think this would look better. As it is right now, the overall figure's tone (because of Yoko's hair) blends in with the background too much. The black end of the gradient at the top right doesn't do enough...speaking of which, alternatively, you could just make the black end of the gradient larger so Yoko would pop out some more.
It's been a long time since i've seen a red wall that didn't burn my retinas. really pleasant to look at (aside from the fact that it's Yoko hehe). sweet wall and great work!
That' s quite prosecuting attorney who is clean. It continuously is used justly before several times. Reaping & which is good; Prosecuting attorney. To background some there is a good depth to it. Love the color. It' s thing Yoko this from prosecuting attorney whom specifies the absolutely under approximation you this like that respects good wallpaper used it truth. Deep-red background Yoko' The usual which accomplishes (also being good,) is an idea; s the long deep-red head. The background you made especially works well with her pose.
