This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Ok so me and gid had this insane idea of a collaboration..and it is insane since we didnt work on the same wall we just made our own, that has the "VINTAGE POSTER" theme...
sadly mine doesnt look vintagey hahaha just looks like a normal movie poster...but who cares? if you whine i'll hunt you down -_- lol
anyway i was obsessed with this image uploaded by teh kalico in teh scans section >XD and i wanted to wall it so i made this...
maybe when i think of something cooler for him i'll do a remake but dont hold your breath you might die and i might laugh at you >XD jk
anyway thanks to boing, gideon and nuni for teh input...and no boing i wont get rid of the buildings and replace em with urs LOOOL >XD
A great looking wall. Has a ancient classic look. But I wish that the Text ''studio bones presents'' and the 2 names on top can be moved to somewhere less eye catching.
That's beautiful! There's a special atmosphere... not a peaceful one but something related with religion (well.. something's like the apocalypse or something like that) and the effect with the clouds is superb.
Very beautiful. as for the font...ermm...too bold for me...maybe the seraphim font would've worked better...available at http://1001freefonts.com/ i think that would work better. just a suggestion.
Ooh cool poster-is looking wallpaper :D nice concept :D~! I like the style you used here in this wallpaper, but...the flares....if you added some texture-ish looking in the flare it would fit better :O...it's just too bright now =/ and I think the fonts could be done different...I can't come up with an idea now ~_~"...

i really love this scan lol. thats why i was nice enough to share it >.>
anyways, 2 things...i would change the buildings to that of tokyo. cause like...thats manhattan and the whole focus of the anime was on tokyo/tokyo jupiter. so i'd put it with tokyo tower or something.
the other thing is the "studio bones presents"
i'd like to see more done with it, whether it be like...a lil texturey thing, or an opacity change or something to make it more interesting, because even though it's meant to be read it takes away a bit.
and now that i have the net in my dorm i can talk to the taters again!
i miss my taters! ;-;
love the idea of the movie poster though. and it was well done :3
