This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Another loopy frilly kkj bg ;) scan by myself, from the KKJ Arina Tanemura Illustration Collection (uploaded to the scan section). I'll be doing something different soon, don't worry...*^_^* oh! there will be some fluctuations in the sizes I'm uploading of walls...that is due to some of them being older and created/scanned during a time when my screen res was 1024x768. for that apologize. :) all newer walls will be maxed at 1600. that mostly applies to KKJ walls anyway.

I don't like this one as much as the previous KKJ wall. I guess this one is too symmetrical, and Maron looks so sad in this one! Still, this is really pretty and the designs on the sides are well done. And thanks for upping the resolution! ^-^

Really beautiful! I've seen a lot of other walls/winamp skins using this image, but I think that this is better by far!! Wonderful use of brushes and design.
The Background-light-effect looks beautiful and the character is so cute! If you had put the font in a better way, to keep up with the style the wallpaper would have been perfect. but I love it.
