While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
I like the blue glow of the background. And you're completely right the table is not to recognize...
But I think the white line around the characters doesn't fit right, especially around their hair. The blue background should directly connect with the character.
