This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

Hi people. First time waller here. I have to say, Xiaoyu is my fav character in the Tekken series, so I thought of making a new wallpaper of her, though I noticed that this is the fourth wall of her in the category... (Can't help being a fanboy..)
It went through as much as 7 (or was it 8? I lost count) revisions before it got in the main gallery.
Notice that the rainbow thing (can't really find the right word to describe it) follows the flow of her left wrist/hand, that's the whole point for it being there. The scan of Xiao which I got from the scans gallery is from luckytintinnz, so credit goes to him for this clean scan. It took approx. 3 hours or so to extract satisfactorily from the white background. I used photoshop for the entire time I was making this wallie, and I had to play around with the channels and levels slider to get a good extraction of her fluffy shoulder thing...
Looks good, but should hav put color scheme aur a bit girlie theme....anyway next time put big resolution wallies like 1600*1200...i hope you can play as good with Xiaoyu as you make her wallpapers

Believe me, I do. She's my main character, and only good players could beat me. I'll take into consideration next time I make my next wallpaper to be of higher resolution.

I think the colours are really eyecatching and I also like the background that was used, I'm going to add this as one of my favourites :)
When i saw your avie, i interested to see your page. and when i look at it, i saw a cool wallpaper came out there.
i´m interested in what you do to the background especially. and the green and white stripes and so on. cool

I think you did a great extraction with Xiaoyu, all the more because it's 3D, and I'm sure it's hard to get the perfect one~ I think the right side of the background is done really well - the shapes and stuff fit together perfectly. Personally, I would prefer other colours to be used as the stripes/rainbows on the left, but that is only my preference ^^ And maybe another font...this looks too conventional. The texture on the stripes look great though~ And the Japanese text idea is creative ~
