Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!
What with the new Eva movies being released, I thought it'd be a good time to make an Eva wall. Actually made this over a month ago, but didn't think it was ready to be uploaded. Not much has changed since then, but I thought if I didn't upload it now I never would.
Tried to make it look as if it were a screen-cap from a film. Originally there was going to be some type of reflection on the glass, but no matter what I tried, I couldn't make it look right. The idea is based of a screen-cap I found from Tide Line Blue:

P.S. You might want to adjust brightness/contrast levels; the inside of the helmet is meant to be very dark, as well as areas of his hair where light doesn't fall.
EDIT 2ND Revision: I purchased a new monitor a while ago (Samsung widescreen 1440x900) and I've since realized that my old CRT's colour and brightness were all wrong. This image was way too bright.
So I've spent 4 hours editing the image to improve contrast and brightness. Lucky for me I always keep the original .PSD with all the layers intact, so it's easy to go back and change things. Sorry to everyone who has already downloaded the old and ugly version. At least now the wallpaper is truly finished.
Seeing how I'm still waiting for "You're not alone" I'll enjoy the wall to hope a promising movie will come after this. I really like Shinji's facial expression and his hair in this wall, it seems to flow well. On the other hand though, they never used space suits in the anime, that is the only thing that raises my eyebrow, otherwise great job!
Yeah! it's been a while since someone did a EVA wall. I love Shinji's expression (which is hard to capture by the way) so you did a great job. I do have to agree that the spacesuit seem a bit out of place, but boy is it ever well done! Love the embossed NERV symbol.
Great wallpapper as just love the whole scan which occupies the whole background..Then i like the scan and i would say you have done an awesome job vectoring..Great wallpaper and keep up the good work

I really like his eyes and the shadows on his face. it defenatly makes him look sad in an interesting way, if I had never watched eva, this wall would surely intrigue me and make me want watch.

Very good job, reminds me of the moon for obvious reasons xD, the title also reminds me of Pyro-san's custom title =O nonetheless original wall, good job ^_^
I like the Shinji expression! But his nose seems a little pointed. The way the colours turn out is similar to Rebuild of Evangelion's styles, too. Thumbs up.
