I was very pleased by the games of "Valkyrie Profile", despite them all but one having names from the legends and myths nor having the crimson corsets. Silmeria had my attention from the first game when I saw her in the crystal and I was curious to know her story. The second game did not disappoint me. The goal of this wallpaper was to capture the mystery and vast emotions of Lenneth seeing her sister like so.
My favourite part of the wallpaper is the small allusion of her having wings in her state and small crown like detail I tried to put above her. I tend to make my wallpapers rather shiny, which might not be a good thing here, but I hope it worked for the point I was attempting to make.
The hardest part for me was the background... I tried to pull off some sorta of contrast of elements. I have mix feelings on it, but I didn't want to put a lot in it to distract from Silmeria in her crystal.
I hope everyone enjoys the image, just let me know if you see the small crown I tried to give her.

The only thing I feel missing is a background of some sort
valkyrie profile was an interesting choice (I've only played Lenneth, but I still think its great)

I do feel that there are some problems with the shininess, though. Namely, the background. It has good contrast to the shininess, so it definitely doesn't detract from the main object. However, it doesn't add anything in my opinion, either. In fact, it makes the crystal look out of place compared to the background.
The parallel effects over the crystal are fine, but I think it could've been more interesting if you thought of a way to make them different and more random (I like random). It feels like they're simply placed there and note blended too well.
Lastly, I also agree (with someone above) that the title doesn't look too good at that position. I think that putting it on the background would be fine, especially because it'd make the background look less bleak.
But that's just me. I can definitely see why you'd become intrigued after see the girl. Crystals and such are just beautiful!
Concept over the Whole is Simple but Details are Very Complex.
Single Tone Colors in the Wallpaper are Simple and a Little Heavy.
The Crystal(?) Covering or Confinig the Heroine with Cold and Sharp Effects is Really Really Impressive.
However They Do not Express Doomed Feelings and Atmosphere.
Details of Shining Lines are Very Thin and Delicate. They are More Bright than Their Own Size.
