Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!
EDIT: Alright, fixed up the chins on a few of the characters and I also fixed up the color on the top left character (he was a little to teal ^^). Thanks so much for all the advice and critiques everyone!

Anyways, this is my ode to the two coolest animated bands around, the Crescendolls from Interstella 5555 and the Gorillaz. I've always loved the Demon Days album cover and the idea to incorporate it with the Interstella gang had been swimming around in my head for a while. I had to find a ton of images for my Interstella resources, the ones below are a few I acquired from the internet. I had to go and freeze some frames on Youtube for any more information I needed. While making this I tried to mix the smooth, bright colors of Interstella with the nitty gritty look of Gorillaz. Using the scans I found I was able to draw the characters profiles and outfits completely in photoshop and then applied the colors. No textures were used, all made by me. The color scheme took a lot of effort to get right but I really like how it came out in the end! Please tell me what you think. :)
Oh by the way, just an fyi, Crescendolls is the name of the band in Interstella 5555 and the title "Discovery" is the name of the album Interstella 5555 is based off of by Daft Punk.

Insta-fav. The combination of the two definitely works. There's not much more I can say other than good job on combining the two together. "I need a gun... 'cause all I do is dance~"

just a small point bothering me is the hat of top right person with a strange bulp in it.
and btw murdoc blonde chic looks hawt with that pirate hat :P

I agree with blue-green, very unique. This wall caught my attention right away because I instantly saw the fusion of ideas within it. The title helped to tip me off, too. The combination of colors and the way they compliment each other works perfectly. Great job.

You managed to mesh three marvelous pieces of media and art (yes I'm including Daft Punk) into one mega piece of artwork.The Cresendolls/Gorillaz album cover merger is like nothing I've seen before,and comes close to the Kill Bill/Tengo Tenje wallpaper I have seen some time ago.Excellent work.
This is a very creative wall. This wall contains two of my favorite music artists! What more can I ask for? Great work! You should do more interstella walls.
