Hi, this is my first wallpaper using a raw scan.

I saw the odin sphere's artbook, and i really liked this image, but it was like the third part of a 16:9 wallpaper, so i started searching for wallpapers using this scan, but without any luck.

this is the raw scan, but resized to a lower resolution:


I found some but at 1024x768, so I decided to make one myself, first I cleaned the scan (never did it before), resized it to 1080 height, but first cropping the image from below. Using the tool canvas, I added at the right a white part to make a 1920x1080 wallpaper, then drew the rest (part of the balcony, the tower, and sky) using the clone brush and paint brush.

As you can see, I don't like to add effects, words, etc. I just like a clean wallpaper, so, I hope you guys like it.

EDIT: well reading the comments, I realized the errors some of you guys point out... I guess i should have use the session zero.

I uploaded a v2 version, but editing these... dunno how much it takes to replace them. Anyways, I shrinked the cloned tower to make it appear farther, and take out some contrast to make it appear with less color. Added a little blur effect to add depth of field (anyway it was just a little). And removed those funny errors when using the clone tool and the pattern goes outside of the image, it cloned the end of the image too :S.

I'm pretty much happy with the result, as you can see my skills are very limited, cannot draw anything complex, or vectorize any image, but i will practice more. The right side for me is perfect because I use the windows vista sidebar, and arrange my icons at the right. Well thats all for now, thanks for your comments guys!
