This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

i extracted the girls and in the BG i used a stock photo of some old building ,
and i changed the colors because i want it the wall to look like an old painting ,
i want the whole wall after i finish to be like an oil painting ,
and i used a lot of different textures .

I like the style created with this wall. However, I don't really feel that the NANA scan/characters fit in very well with the scenery. Their expressions and dress just don't feel right for me.
Secondly, I wish I knew more about how oil painting look like (I haven't seen one in awhile). In any case, I don't get much of an "old" feeling either other than from the color. The style conflicts with it somewhat - making it look more damaged than old in my opinion.
Well, well, another masterpiece on your collection, I think...

I like the contrast of the two beautifully clad kimonos against the nitty gritty of the everyday streets. gives a greater sense of celebration to whatever holiday they might be celebrating. or it could just be two people wearing kimonos for shitz and giggles. anyways, great work and thank you for sharing.

Anyway, it'd be cool to add on to the story your wallpaper's already telling. Like adding a shadow on the right side of the floor of a pursuant grizzly bear. Just something special to give reason for the little girl's reaction. xD
This wall is lovely! The image actually blends in quite nicely, but it still is kind of splotchy (but I'm thinking you did this intentionally ^^). Overall, it's very beautiful. I love the concept behind it!

This is great. I like what you did with the textures and how you enhanced the stock photo. You really successfully made this into a resemblance of an oil painting. Because of all the layers, the character blend pretty well with the wall. Nice job~
