This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
The reason why is if I make the thread, one of the other threads wont be on the main page. Only 10 can be there. The only unneeded thread was the freelancer thread. Besides, Eternal isn't a house. only a title.
My first submission here... I'm a little nervous. Anyway hello! I hope this is good. It's my first time working on such a large canvas for my walls... o.o'
Anyway it is Jin from the wonderful anime Samurai Champloo! When I saw the scan at Anime Artbooks I knew I had to make a winter wallpaper with it! I was going to do it all blue but that was to boring once I finished the brushing and texturing. So I added some other colors around the edges and this is the result. Personally I like it and think it's one of my better walls. Anyway I hope you like it to.

Ps: Ohh goodness. I almost sent this to the regular gallery... xD; I wasn't paying attention. lol
The wall itself looks pretty good, but the chara image seems very low quality.
I would suggest you need to find a better quality version of the image, otherwise you may have to vector it. I can see you've already applied quite a few filters, etc, but it stills seems fairly rough.
I like what you have going but you're going to need a lot more creativity to get this wall excepted. The scan is used a lot. I would suggest that you not but any design over him, but instead colorize him with each part of the background he overlaps.

(In fact if I'm honest, to me it looks like it's been extracted from nat's wall - http://www.animepaper.net/gallery/wallpapers/Samurai-Champloo/item3327/ . I'm not accusing you of anything, but perhaps the source site is unaware of it?)

Theres the source image. It says that it's from the 2006 calendar, but I do not have the calendar so I would not know for sure.
But if I did use it on accident, I apologize. :O
