After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!
So its been awhile since I have gotten to submit something. I've been thinking along time about working on another wall. I just come up with ideas and then they stop...
Work keeps me bent outta shape. But hey its 5am here and its finally done! Ive been listening to Cowboy Bebop OST4 the song Blue, the entire time I was creating this wall. Spike took one darn of a time to clean up using psCS3. But hes looking great now. The bg was a big problem. I found this image from an add for Ghost in the shell and thought that the giant building in the bg looked just like spikes final resting place.
So is this spikes spirit walking down that road of finally being free? Could be! All I know is, he seems kind of happy to be walking away. Which leads me to the title in the wall. ...later space cowboy~
I really hope everyone here enjoys this wall. I've put some heart into it. I really think the way spike is portrayed with the back drop makes you feel like there is a conclusion after the staircase.
It looks very nice; even so...I will offer my suggestions which IMO will make it better.
I am not sure the perspective is right on...the background is angled one way and spike is angled the other. If you draw a line from the ground to the sky in between the buildings and then a line from Spike’s feet to his head you will see that you need to flip one of the two of them. Or you could just rotate Spike some to make him more upright.
I would point out that there is a nice vector of that image you used for Spike in the gallery here on AP if you are still unhappy with the way he looks, though he seems to look fine the way he is to me.
Even though I am sure you cleaned the background up some (or maybe a lot)...try adding some other elements to the background, like a car & some trash cans...maybe even the Bebop in the sky...anything to make it look like you did more then stick two scans together and called it a wallpaper.
From that I will also point out that the background looks painted or smudged and Spike is more “clear & clean”...if you want to make the extreme back part of the that way it is fine but the foreground closest to Spike's position should be more in focus and thus have more detail. Otherwise your render appears awkward.
Also add links to the base images you used, which will allow others to see the amount of work you did to make this all come together!
I don't think the angle is right, cause if you make the ground flat, then Spike would look like he's about to fall over. So yeah, tilt the background to the left instead of the right, so it looks like "/" instead of "\" like it is now.
