This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
If you still see artifacts.. there is a texture on the wall... ^^;
well here we go
i know this wall looks pretty simple, but the vectoring of itoshiki-sensei took so loong i never spent so much time in a vector lol.
well actually i wanted to keep this wall for myself since the typo is pretty crappy that wannabe japanese font is soooo fugly lol
but when a friend came over and saw it he was like: OMG RELEASE IT
@_@ i prefer walls with only a few elements on it, so the desk looks clean
so this wall is for those who feel the same way haha
AND REMEMBER KIDS if you ever want to die ,let`s die together :3
Pretty cool wallpaper, but it's full of JPEG artifacts! You either overdid with the compression, or most likely the filesize of your wallpaper was too big for its res and AP's automatic script recompressed your wallpaper (resulting in heavy artifacts). I suggest you to edit it and update it with a clean version (try to reduce it's filesize enough and still mantain a decent level quality).
As for the concept, it's awesome just like the actual show is. :)
Well......the design is alright, but I'll agree with the above poster about the artifacts in the image, mainly on the girls behind Itoshiki, and on his hands. But I'll trust that you're working on that issue.
As for the image itself......nice and direct, it's alright. I think you probably could've added one more girl in the background, but otherwise it's fine. The font's not that bad, either.

I agree that the image quality could be better, but I love everything else about this wallpaper. I like how you organized it in the center, and I personally like the font. Great idea!
I really like this wallpaper. It's simple and the text despite what you think, looks very good and fits the show. I don't even feel as if you wasted space despite the face there is a fair bit of space left over.
Wow love the concept of this wall.
I really like the font you used and how you pictured everything together!
Oh and the title, it just fits in
Well, it could have been better if you do something about the image quality.
Zest! a new one from you that sure is good to see xD
doubt if you remembered me from AL lol
on to the wall, nice colors =D and it's not black, sweet! overall a pretty compact wall nothing to crit on from me.
lol as if i`d forget about my al people ;)
alot of things changed and i`m sick of doing those light walls, everyone likes them but i don`t lol so i`m tryin stuff like that ^^;
um as for the quality...

It does feel just slightly too minimal to me. I don't think the effect is helped by the fade out effect on the edges--it sort of emphasises the lack of stuff in a bad light, rather than making a virtue of it.
I think also you could have had a relatively simple, rpeatign pattern texture on a coloured bg and it would have made it feel a lot more coordinated than the dark bg.
I'm not keen on the text, but more again because the positioning sort of emphasises that the main image is plonked at the top and the rest of the wall is empty. If instead the image had gone from top to bottom and perhaps the text was to the side, rather than along the bottom then it would have felt more like a design point.
Iow, whilst it's nice to join up what you have on your own desktop and what you upload, sometimes a few tweaks for the upload version will just elevate it a bit, I think.
Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei is awesome, along with this wall. =3
You did a great vector, it looks like the original image.
I also like the expression of Itoshiki-san, nice job in finding the right image. (hope you get what I mean D: ).
I also love the random clouds behind, they give an extra artistic touch and the texture fits the wall perfectly.
Only two things:
1) You should stroke Itoshiki's hair, I really like the strokes of vectors, so it seems odd to my eyes. Plus, because the lower part of his hair has the same color with he background, a part of his hair which gets in front of Kafuka (D:?? right...?) makes it look like a part of her head is missing. o_O If you stroke it, there won't be any problem.
2) I think you should have used a smaller stroke (I'm talking about the text).
To sum up, amazing work.
Thank you for decorating my desktop. =]
