This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
I’ ve always regarded the relationship between a mother and a daughter very sacred.
I’ ve always believed that our mother’s role is the most important concerning our physical and mental development.
Have you ever thought of yourself being lucky for having a mother? I have. Especially now that she is not here.
Scenario:
Mariel: Mom will you read me a story please?
Mom: Sure sweety, which one do you want?
Mariel: Oh, great! I want the one with the fluffy cloud and the flying camelopardalis. I love this story!
Mom: Ok. Let’s see. Hm, once upon a time in kingdom far away from here there was a kind little camelopardalis that wanted to fly….
Some kids never had and never will hear a story from their mother’s mouth and receive that warm goodnight kiss…
This wallpaper is dedicated to all those kids.

Texture on the top: My stock used (if you want it just send me a note)
Picture on the book: My drawing 4 years ago for passing the exams in illustration with traditional media (colour pencils used). We had to create a picture based on a story or poem. I chose a book with funny poems written by Rena Rossi-Zairi (title: “321 counting with Rena”)
Ps 1. I would love to receive a stricked critique on this piece…since I see the flaws myself but as I always say…I will not change the elements (certain characters or objects that mean something to me) that you do not like, but I’ ll surely change everything else. Thank you all in advance.
Ps 2. I think that you must have forgotten me after being absent for more than 2 months. I am sorry.
Ps 3. Dedicated to Svetlin Vassilev, maybe the best Bulgarian Illustrator who i happen to have once watched draw and tried to follow his technique in details. My wallpaper is somehow a recreation of his own illustrations for the thumbellina storybook, so this piece is a gift for him.
This is a lovely wallpaper with a unique background!! eventough there is not much character in it..but it is beautiful!..really love the little girl!! overall its beautiful!!
Ah yes, it's very good.
I really like how you painted them, and also how you made them into a wallpaper.
and the tales look great, but why did you make both of the pages have same picture?
I'm sorry if it means something special.
btw, great work
*favie*
(really love the girl in the blow/plate and the mini shoes XD!)
but since you asked for a strick critique? i usually would just be like "great!", but since you wanna hear more critique, i have to say, i'm not too crazy about the magical swirl comming outta the book.. i'm not too crazy about the book at all really (The picies in them...the colours and stuff)
anyways, still, i think it's cute, wuv it =p

Master, tis looks so great *_*
hmm critique? maybe its about the book's edge xD maybe you should make it looks more blurry? (just a bit), cus i think it looks to sharp, when the other objects are a bit blurry :3 but the other elements are great < 3 write a story, mastaa! xD and btw, who will forget you? D: nobody ; 3;
Lovely! my fav part is the books pictures. :3 its a creative idea, with a touching dedication.
ahh the only thing i could think of critiquing is that more lines should be added to the books edges, to make it look like there are more pages. but nothing rly huge.
so..
+fav. ;D
This is adorable.
I do have a bit of a critique for you though, because I know when you ask for one, you actually want one :P
Little things I would have done...
I would have moved the book over closer to the bowl...or moved the bowl over closer to the book. The gap in the middle divides them a bit too much. i think to emphasize the closeness, you should put the book and the bowl closer.
I love the cute storybook look. The only thing I would have done is worked up her face a little bit more. make her look a bit more unique.
All in all though, it's great. Just some minor composition stuff like I mentioned.
Nothing left for me to say, just need to give it a fav!
...T_T... why do you make SO good things? I have recently found all yours works and i am amazed. Really. How do you do it? You must be a very emotional person that can transform your feelings into walls-paintings. I have nothing else to say apart from "Well done". You do not need any critic...

Its been so long since you posted something here on animepaper, but still your unique style is simply wonderful.
I really like the palette of the colors and easily I could say that this paper is one of the best "on the table" papers I ve seen.
Glad to see you back and lets all hope that it wont take you 3 months for the next one.
Simply wow! I saw this piece a few days ago when you sent it via email but now i can see it finished. I am very pround of you and i really like the way you make each thing on the wall have a meaning. What i like the most is the small girl on the leaf...so little and very sweet.
Thank you for making this wall cause it actually makes my screen look so damn (sorry for the language) good!

Wow, that is quite simply an amazing amount of work and effort for a wall and the result is just amazing. You should be rightly proud of this. The attention to detail is inspiring.
Glad to see you submit new work It's awesome as always, although It have a bit different mood this time I think, whole wall looks like a big picture from fairy tale ^o^
It's hard to give a critique if something looks so good as a whole composition, but if you ask for it, I'll try whining as much as I can
mmm... one thing that was noticed before is that book have two same pages, only difference between them is "The End"
what else... maybe little girl would look better if she would be siting with legs bended in knees, skirt would be more folded then and would look more dynamic (like here)
light coming out from book could be done better to, I have no idea how since I couldn't make it any better myself but I think that you could
ahh, even after long time of trying, I can't whine anymore
Great Wall granny!
and yeah I'm gratful for my mom and basically for all my familiy members I have here. < 3

I would like to say that I have more than 50 illustrations of thumbellina as it was one of the fairytales I had to evaluate on one of my essays at the University, so you could say that I have been influenced by lots of different characters and moods. I only present you those that I have like the most. I hope you like them too^^
