After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!
Oh I definitely don't subscribe to any particular scene. It just happens to be the genre I listen to my most. One of all time favorite bands being Splashdown.
I pretty much am across all genres. I have so much music I can listen to music nonstop for an entire year without hearing a repeat. Though I seem to spend more time with indie music and local bands.
Well I was talking about music in relation to Gaga. I love symphonic metal. A couple of my favorites are Leaves' Eyes, Visions of Atlantis, Delain, Epica, and Xandria
When i saw Kon dressed as Naruto this idea came to me. Kon taking over Naruto. I was troubled though since i couldnt choose under which category i should submit this wallpaper.I chose Bleach by the way.
Moving on. This wallpaper NEEDS help. Seriously i think its a good idea but it needs work....a lot of it! Please give me your advices and thoughts about it! I will be glad to see what you think! |
Should i remove the whole wooden sign and think of something else to fill in the space?
Not a bad idea at all, but it does need some work. First of all, I'm guessing you can't read katakana. The Japanese text (3 characters + dashes) under "Narukon" mean "Naruto". You should probably change that to "Narukon" as well (only the last character needs to be removed and replaced with 2 characters).
The extraction looks good to me. However, it just seems kinda empty/barren. Kon and the Naruto series usually have more life in them. Maybe it's just me, but it feels like something is missing. Anyway, great job so far & I can't wait to see what you come up with.

i think youve worked with it really nice, youve made narkon match with the backgroound really nice.. ^^
but i only have a few things to say,..
i dont like the texture you put on the poster, maybe try to find another one that looks more wooden like ^^
also the perspective, maybe try to twist a bit the images to give them a sense of persepective, so the wall wont look plain ^^
also for the groud, maybe something more sand like will fit better ^-^
but other than that i think you did a great job :D

This is a great concept and you did already a nice job. It's a great scrap to start with.
So first you gonna need to clean a bit the wood frame of the poster. On the pols and around the poster, it looks like you have greenish and yellow parts that are over saturated and not really good looking.
Also the wood looks a bit strange to me... Probably cause it's a low quality source and you did your best to clean it and make it better looking. I would suggestion to select the yellow and greenish dots and exchange the colors for a light brown...
Indeed the texture poster isn't the best... Or you can keep this one and combine it to an other to make this poster texture less regular and more interesting.
Kon could use some extraction work on his pans... On the left side especially. And with light darker colors I guess he could look better...
The shadow behind him is nice even if we can see some brush lines in it... you should try to make it a bit more covering and regular. And even stronger on the wall.
As for the shadow behind the poster, you need to make darker on the light part on the floor. Can you see that square of floor that is not really as dark as the rest of the shadow? That's not really right. Same thing for the Kon's shadow : I can see lighter parts around the pol's edges.
Also as I can see you choose the same angle for the shadows of the poles and Kon's one... But the board's shadow hasn't the same angle. You should correct that by putting the board's shadow more on the left side...
The floor, as Kaorux said is a bit rough... You could make a better one with some sand texture added to the one you already have. Just try to have something that's not too regular. That's the entire art of using textures, it's to use them without having any repeated patterns... See what I mean? :)
Probably my last point would go for the harmony of the colors... Kon's colors are really saturated compared to the rest of the wall. I know he's the focus point so it can work... But still it's a bit too much.

But it does indeed need some work to be done in it.
First, the wood in the wooden sign looks kinda noisy and pixelated to me, so you might want to clean that up simply by repainting it or vectoring it, but I recommend you to repaint it.
Another thing is Kon, he also looks noisy, you can just vector him or repaint him, but vectoring him would be better.
As for the background ... it looks a bit weird to me, so I don't know, maybe you should choose another background that looks cleaner or less pixelated.

Great Job so far! I suggest making the sign smaller. The sign is catching most of the attention and not the 1337 narukon. Also, try making narukon's colors more vibrant. Keep up the good work and i look forward to the finished product! +fav
