As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. Do have a look at this beautiful wallpaper!
Well its been a little while since I have posted anything. I guess its from lack of motivation and the fact that I don't have Photoshop anymore *starts crying*.
This wallpaper was completely done in GIMP. I HATE GIMP completely hate it. You can't even make a strait freakin' line without it looking pixelated or not being strait at all. Ok well I could go on all day on how much I hate gimp.
I just started watching Gundam 00 and so far I LOVE IT. I was going to put all of the gundam meisters in this wallpaper but decided against it because Allelujah so far is my favorite character.
If you notice in the window I put a reflection of his gundam Kyrios standing off in the distance looing at the sky. Its kinda hard to tell sorry.
The background image is a stock image from StockXchange that I spent quite a bit of time on trying to make it look "un stock like".

Oh, this wall caught my eyes.
Though it's dark and colorless, it tells a lot.
I like the despair I can feel out from that, as well as the slight style change with the character. Plus, his position is perfect for the title.
Whole the wall is smooth and dreamy, somehow like an old painting and the stairs are clearly amazing.
However, I would recommend to make some darker part there, I mean shadowing or a mild hint of coming night, which could make the wall a bit deeper if you understand.
Anyway, you definitely have my +fav.

The background still looks like a stock image... Only smudged. It doesn't blend well with the smudged scan. Actually, the whole thing is just smudged images... I don't feel a lot of work was put into this.
I do it all the time, placing scans on stocks, but what you want to try and do is make it seem as if there was more to it. For example, don't just use one stock. Blend a few. I know using this image makes it harder, but for future reference, slapping scans on stocks just doesn't = effort...
Now I'm wondering whether that image of Allelujah was painted from scratch... If so, it was wasted on the BG... >__< Try adding textures to blend better.
*sigh*

Not a Gundam fan at all, but your wallpaper was so awesome in its design I had to comment. I love the feel of the background, stock or not (I think you succeeded in un-stocking it). Kudos to you.
