After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!
Oh I definitely don't subscribe to any particular scene. It just happens to be the genre I listen to my most. One of all time favorite bands being Splashdown.
I pretty much am across all genres. I have so much music I can listen to music nonstop for an entire year without hearing a repeat. Though I seem to spend more time with indie music and local bands.
Happy New Year to abul and moonescape! Two more of my best friends here :) May 2008 hold wonderful things for you guys~ Abul-kun, I doubt you're a fan of InuYasha but I know you prefer walls to vectors now so I wanted to give you a wall. And Moon-chan, as far as I know, you are an InuYasha fan, right? Anyways I haven't made anything from this series yet so here it is. I hope you like it :)
Exactly one year ago, I made a wallpaper with the same image. You can see it here. It's pretty bad, because I was still a beginner then. A year later, I can compare how I chose to wall this scan differently.
-Vector-
Was pretty straightforward; went well. My outlines are too thin >_< In the end I didn't have time to vector the designs on their kimonos so I used some patterns (I lurv patterns). Not much else to say about the vector I guess.
-Wallpaper-
Heh, it's horrible. I know. Actually, I like the front part of the wall. But the back? Horrible. The fireworks look bad. The lake looks bad. The fireworks reflection looks bad. But meh, when you suck you suck.
I tried many different methods for the fireworks. I even vectored my own fireworks from scratch, but they looked too cartoony. In the end I settled for brushes even though I really didn't want to use brushes >.< I downloaded like, 50 different firework brushes until I found these ones. Nice fireworks are hard to find.
The water I painted from scratch. It doesn't look much like water, but...you can get the idea.
Anyways I know there's a lot of ways that this wall could improve. But I don't care now >.< I worked on it all night, now it's 1:15 PM and I give up. It is what it is. Better luck next time, ne?
Despite the horrible-ness I hope Abul and Moonescape still like their end-of-year gift :)
Huh.... wow!!! the change is unbeliavable!!! you really improve in a year. I think is great, I like it a lot and don´t worry, you can keep improving with time, Let´s see what you have next year! happy new year!

Despite your own mumbling, i think its quite a success
cant even be compared to that old attempt
the girls are wonderfully vectored, even though the patterns on their kimonos obviously do not copy the surface
i find the fireworks including reflections well acceptable and the water aint that bad either
what i dont like is the rail - it looks incredibly plain and shaby compared to the rest
the semi textured version looks much better in this aspect - even the rail has some sort of detail and blends much better - this one is worth a fav
the fully textured version on the other hand looks rather crowded and as if made with crayons
on a sidenote id like to add that rumiko takahashi always manages to entertain me with her blatant disrespect towards human anatomy, this time she bent feet right in the middle of metatarsal bones, good job...
It's Nice Wallpaper.
Two Starrings' Japanese Traditional Dresses for Women are Simple and Graceful.
The Dresses and Blue and White Colors Make Their Owner be More Charming and Beautiful.
Forms of the Fireworks are Stable and Splendid.
I Think Thin Lights of Fireworks are always Interesting and Cute.
Thanks for Your Good Work.
Waaaah, I can see the effort you put into this wallpaper! =O
The vectors of the two girls look great and I really like the composition. (Why does Kagome look so angry? xD;;)
I wouldn't know how to make nice, bright and shining fireworks, that's why I think you did a wonderful job on them :3 They could just need more colours, maybe a bit yellow and red.
As maddeath said, it's a success. =D
Great wallpaper its nice to see some wallpapers of this anime. Its is very well done. I really like the scan it is great. The background is very well done too. Nice job and keep up the good work.

I guess I'm a little late commenting but this wall is 100% beautiful I just couldn't resist, Kagome is on of my all time favorites and I love the way you did her kimono, everything is so bright and glowing like magic, everything down to the spark of fire works is superbly done. Great Job A+ and a fav
Excellent image! Images that show the characters in costumes not seen in the series are the best, are not all images and scenes that are not all they saw, then my friends will envy them when the show, besides I like because fireworks are with those simple.
Good man image, greetings and good luck, I will continue looking for a picture for my collection as well, see you.
Another nice work from you! Again, nice work... I love it because Kagome and Sango are so beautiful, the fireworks are a lil' bit odd to me but it's okay... Overall criteria was 98% don't know what are the 2% missing but I like it... Thanks for the wall!

Original scan was kinda bad quality and had problems so it was a good image to vector.

although they seem lonely in there...
maybe adding more fireworks and light effects might do the trick.^^
